Providing the knowledge, ability and ethics to enable you to fly proficiently and most importantly, safely…
The helicopter flying school that you choose to provide your flight training is a particularly important decision. After all, this will usually be your first contact with the world of rotary flight.
Commercial Helicopter Licence
(CPL H) training
If you are looking for a rewarding career within the helicopter industry that can take you all over Australia, or globally, then this is the licence for you. A CPL (H) allows you fly for reward, and the standards required to complete the Commercial Licence are to a professional standard.
Requirements:
You must be at least 18 years of age to sit your CPL (H) flight test
Hold a Class 1 aviation medical
Have completed the 7 CPL aeronautical CASA theory exams
Complete a minimum of 105 hours flight training and meet the CASA CPL Syllabus and standards.
Sit your CPL(H) flight test (with our in house Flight Examiner and owner, Timothy Latimer)
We have a variety of helicopters available, including the R22, R44 and Bell 206. The advantage of training in two different helicopter types is that on completion of your licence, you may be in a better position for employment.
Many of our students opt to complete a large portion of their initial training in the Robinson R22, then complete their last 20 hours or so in the Robinson R44, This is a more cost effective option and allows them the best chance of employment post-graduation.
